Clinical Psychologists help clients to identify problems, including emotional, mental and behavioural in their lives. Through observation, interviews and tests, the clinical psychologists will diagnose any existing or potential difficulties/disorders. Then, together with the client, they will formulate a treatment plan according to the client's needs. Clinical psychologists will monitor the client's progress on a regular basis to ensure that their needs are met by the course of action, and to adjust it if necessary.

Medical social workers provide effective medical social support services to patients and families where illness, medical care and treatment are complicated by social and emotional problems. They work closely with other departments within the hospital such as welfare officers, patient educators, dietitians and extend it to other different professionals such as NGOs, social agencies and health care services in managing cases. Besides, they also plan, organize, coordinate and implement social work programs such as Cancer Support Group and Volunteer Club.

Psychotherapy and Counselling

We provide counselling and psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, and adults to support emotional well-being and personal growth. Sessions are tailored to each client’s needs and may involve parents or family members when appropriate. Our therapists offer a safe, confidential space to explore challenges, improve coping skills, and promote positive change.

Teletherapy

Teletherapy allows clients to continue counselling sessions online through secure telecommunication platforms. To ensure effectiveness, clients are required to attend a few initial in-person sessions first, where rapport is built and suitability for online therapy is assessed. This service offers flexibility for clients with travel or scheduling limitations while maintaining the same quality of care.

Psychological Wellness Screening (PWS)

The Psychological Wellness Screening is a screening that allows you to find out about your mental health condition. It is the first step to taking care of your mental health. During PWS, our mental health professional guides you through the process in a safe and confidential environment, helping you gain insight into your emotional well-being, recognise early warning signs and learn adaptive coping skills. It also provides access to credible mental health care resources and referrals.

Psychological Assessment

Comprehensive psychological assessments are conducted to evaluate various aspects of functioning, including:

  • Cognitive and intellectual abilities
  • Emotional and behavioural patterns
  • Neuropsychological functioning
  • Personality traits

These assessments assist in diagnosis, treatment planning and understanding the factors influencing an individual’s well-being.

Cognitive Screening Test (CST)

The Cognitive Screening Test assesses areas such as memory, attention and problem-solving to identify possible cognitive decline or impairment. Results help guide further evaluation, diagnosis and intervention planning.

Proactive Lifestyle Screening (PLS)

Proactive Lifestyle Screening helps individuals understand how their lifestyle patterns impact mental and physical health. Using advanced camera technology, it promotes early awareness, encourages positive changes and supports preventive care through guided assessment and feedback from our professionals.

Biofeedback Therapy

Biofeedback Therapy is a technique that trains people to improve their physical and mental health by voluntarily controlling certain bodily processes that normally happen involuntarily, such as heart rate, blood pressure, muscle tension and skin temperature. It uses technology to provide real-time feedback on these physiological responses. With guidance from a therapist, clients learn to regulate their body's stress responses, improving relaxation, focus and overall well-being.

Supportive Play Therapy

Play therapy provides a safe and natural medium for children to express their thoughts and emotions. Through guided play sessions, children learn to process feelings, develop problem-solving skills and build emotional resilience.

Psychoeducation

We provide educational sessions and resources to help individuals and families better understand mental health conditions. Psychoeducation promotes early awareness, reduces stigma and empowers participants with practical coping and caregiving strategies.

Support Groups

We facilitate support groups, including those for individuals and families affected by cancer, to promote mutual understanding, emotional support and improved quality of life.

Discharge Planning

We assist clients and families in preparing for a smooth transition from hospital to home or another care setting. Our team ensures that each client receives appropriate follow-up support and community resources after discharge.

Information and Referral

We help clients connect with relevant community resources such as medical equipment providers, nursing homes and healthcare agencies, based on individual needs.

Home Visit

Home visits are carried out to assess patients’ home environments, post-discharge needs and available family or community support.
