Patient Responsibilities

Hospital Lam Wah Ee endeavours to make your hospital stay as comfortable as possible.
 
The hospital requests you and your family to show consideration towards other patients, and courtesy to hospital staff, nurses, doctors and visitors. There shall be mutual respect and understanding. Any forms of aggressive and abusive behaviours towards our staff, nurses and doctors will not be tolerated and may result in withdrawal of service for the person concerned.
 
Do provide the necessary correct information about yourself and your medical condition to your doctor. Your medical records are confidential and will be kept securely.
 
Please observe the “No Smoking” policy strictly in the entire hospital area. Please respect the hospital’s equipment and facilities. Do not tamper with any medical devices.
 
You are advised not to bring any valuables with you, as you are responsible for the safekeeping of your personal possessions.
 
Please keep to the appointment, whether for admission, for investigations, or procedures, or to the out-patient clinics and other departments. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please try to inform the hospital in advance.
 
You may bring your personal medications to hospital for the medical staff to note. Please consult your doctor as to whether these medications are to be continued.
 
It is your responsibility to pay your hospital bills or make suitable arrangements. Do speak to a member of the Finance Department if you have any queries.
